Ancient buildings surround most of the square. Vibrant with cafes and restaurants. Small shops and the Nearby Stevenskerk (Church of Stephan) complete the athmosphere.

Jul. 2020. This large market square was fortunately spared from the bombing campaigns that flattened much of Nijmegen, leaving us with a glimpse into what the city must once have looked like. It's a lovely space flanked by several attractive old buildings, most notably the Waagh which now houses a cafe. A few ugly modern buildings compromise.
